Frozen Banana :-)

The title probably got you thinking... Just been looking through our freezer, and saw our bag of frozen bananas and got the idea to blog about this random topic.

We went to a pop in peep session locally, and after playing and singing the babies were offered frozen bananas on lolly pop sticks, Ruby loved them and the little piggy had two.
When we got home I dug through the cupboards, looking for a ice lolly set I knew we had and that I thought would probably do the job.

This is the finished product a bag of banana sections stuck on sticks, to be honest, I think these plastic one as better than wooden ones as Rubes can grip them very easily :-)

Not only is it a great finger food for helping to wean as they sort of melt to a mush when sucked, but they taste great, sort of like a banana flavour 'mini milk lolly', they are also great for teeth as they are similar to a chilled teether.

When I give them to Rubes I just pour a little water from the kettle over them first to get rid of any crystals, and strip your baby to a vest or better no top as they get mushy and messy once they get sucking, and if you haven't already discovered banana is incredibly hard to wash from clothes.

Big hit with Rubes, nice easy summer snack, and great for all babies from just being weaned to big toddlers, and even mummy and daddy :-)
